Rui Li of Kent captured the 16-17-year-old girls division of the Washington Junior Golf Association state championships Friday at Spokane Country Club. Li shot a final-round 78. Her 54-hole score was 226, three shots better than Rachel Choi of Mukilteo.
Hank Frame of Spokane Valley won the boys 16-17 division, finishing at 209, five shots better than Jack Whealdon of Ilwaco.
The boys 14-15 winner was Carl Jonson of Bainbridge Island (220).
The girls 14-15 winner was Kimberly Santiago of Lynnwood (235).

Leslie Folsom of Rainier beat Ann Carr of Fairwood 2 and 1 in 35 holes in the final round of the Washington State Women's Golf Association Championship Tournament at Meridian Valley in Kent.
Tennis
No. 5 seed Patrik Fischer, who played for Washington this past season, was defeated 6-4, 6-2 by No. 1 seed Amir Hadad of Budapest at the 118th Washington State Open Seniors Championships at the Seattle Tennis Club.
Little League
Steel Lake of Federal Way lost 9-5 to Mount Jumbo East/West of Missoula, Mont., on Thursday in the Senior League West Regional for baseball in Upland, Calif.

• Chief Sealth High School grad Regina Rogers has transferred from UCLA to Washington. She will sit out the 2008-09 women's basketball season because of transfer rules.
• The Emerald City Softball Association will host the Northwest Quest National Championships starting Aug. 25.
