MOSES LAKE — Jarin Todd, a Woodinville High School grad who was NCAA Division II Player of the Year at Sonoma State this spring, finished with four birdies Wednesday and leads the Washington State Amateur by four strokes at the halfway point.
Todd shot a 6-under 66 and is 11-under 133 after two rounds at the Links at Moses Pointe. Todd, who will be a senior at the California school in the fall, has a four-stroke lead over former Washington Husky Derek Berg, who had the day's low round of 64.
Folsom increases lead
On a day when winds sent scores soaring, Leslie Folsom increased her lead in the Washington Women's Amateur.
Folsom, who won last week's Seattle Women's Golf Association title on her home course of Rainier Golf and Country Club, shot an 8-over 81 at Sunland Golf and Country Club in Sequim. After two rounds, she has a total of 154 and three-stroke lead over Stephanie Corey of Seattle, who shot 82.
In the Washington Senior Amateur on the same course, Ann Swanson of Redmond and Anne Carr of Renton are tied at 156.
