PE ELL REV ran hooked on the lead as the 3-5 favorite in last, so he was spent turning for home and ended up a well-beaten fourth. COUNTRY LEDO faced better in Northern California to no avail.

NATASHA'S NIGHT returns to the Northwest after picking up a few minor awards at Turf Paradise over the winter. Trainer Dan Kenney enters the week with 195 lifetime wins at EmD. SKIMMED outran her odds (19-1) in her Emerald debut to finish third for jockey Wilson Dieguez (1 for 33 at the meet). R LITTLE PROSPECT is saddled with the outside post but does have six seconds at the local oval from 18 starts.

ROTATE has a couple of decent workouts in prepping for her debut. Trainer H.R. Mullens has had good success (5 for 28) the past five years with babies making their career debut. JOAN KARDOO, who starts from the inside post, is one of two in here from the Vince Gibson barn. Gibson was 2 for 10 last year with 2-year-old debut runners and two more finished at least third. ENDURING PAM ($4K yearling purchase) debuts for trainer Frank Lucarelli, who sits third all-time with 23 2-year-old debut winners entering this season.

BRAHMS SWINGS dropped and popped in her Emerald debut, paying $12.80 to win. Might come back in win again against this nonwinner-of-two-races group. TICKETTOTHESTARS nosedives in class after finishing last of six. Trainer Bonnie Jenne clicks at 30 percent with these types of class-droppers. TRUE INDIAN has been in front in each of her past three starts but her best finish was a third. New jockey Gallyn Mitchell accepts the mount and he enters the week with 985 wins.

TEX X. is in at the bottom level for his first start in over 10 months. He's in the Tim McCanna barn, so figure on a good effort. BRASS TACKS finished second for the seventh time from 11 career starts at tonight's distance in his last start. POINT DUME, a winner of over $210K, tumbles to the basement after not being competitive vs. much better. Trainer Joe Toye clicks at 22 percent with these types of class-droppers and 48 percent finish at least third.

DEVINE STYLE has put forth a couple of good efforts at the meet and did break awkward in his last start. Jockey Clark Jones was 5 for 121 (4 percent) here last summer. HEMIELEDO likes a mucky track; both his wins last year were over sloppy and wet, fast racetracks. DEPUTYS PRIDE was very dull in his 2008 Emerald debut vs. better, finishing last of seven.

Scratched: Magoo Can Do

ORE BRAIN ran just fine in his 2008 comebacker while facing a bit better. He should gait a perfect stalking position against this quality group. CONSIGNER steamrolled home to flatten eight rivals by a length and a quarter. Look for the strapping bay gobbling up the ground right in front of the grandstand. EL PALQUI looked impressive in his last dash — going wire to wire against cheaper for his second win from his past three starts.

9 Bucky B Lucky L Mawing 12 118
ARROW JUNCTION has the class edge over most in here and his only start around two turns was in the $55,000 WTBA Lads last year. Trainer H.R. Mullens hits around 15 percent on the stretchout with a positive $2 ROI. KATTEGATT KID has tried every time he's been led over to run: five starts, five trifecta finishes. HORNBEAK ran a credible fifth after rearing at the start. Her dam won three races at Emerald Downs, all at the one-mile distance.
