Montgomery goes 4 for 4 on penalty kicks in win: South Africa beat defending champion England 15-6 Saturday in the Rugby World Cup final in Saint-Denis, France.
All the points came on penalty kicks. Percy Montgomery was 4 for 4 on kicks to lead South Africa. Jonny Wilkinson had two for England.
"I'm sitting here and trying not to cry," Springboks captain John Smit said after the victory.
South Africa demolished England 36-0 in pool play earlier in the tournament, but Wilkinson didn't play in that game.
Tennis
Federer wins 18th match in a row: Defending champion Roger Federer of Switzerland will play David Nalbandian of Argentina in today's final of the Madrid Masters in Spain.
Federer defeated Nicolas Kiefer of Germany 6-4, 6-4, and Nalbandian beat Novak Djokovic of Serbia 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) in semifinal matches.
Federer, the top-ranked player in the world, will play for his seventh title of the season. He has won 18 matches in a row. Nalbandian, ranked 25th, reached his first final of the year.
Henin to face Golovin: Top-ranked Justine Henin of Belgium rallied to defeat Nicole Vaidisova of the Czech Republic 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 and advanced to the final of the Zurich Open in Switzerland.
Henin will play France's Tatiana Golovin, who beat Francesca Schiavone of Italy 6-0, 6-4.

Straka breaks finger: Forward Martin Straka of the New York Rangers broke a finger on his right hand blocking Zdeno Chara's slap shot in the first period of a game against the Bruins in Boston.
Straka has two goals this season and scored 29 last season.
Flyers stay hot: Simon Gagne scored his second goal of the game in overtime as host Philadelphia beat Carolina 3-2, the Flyers' fifth victory in a row.
Doping
Investigator discusses steroid bust: The lead investigator in a recent federal crackdown on illegal steroids said athletes "at every level" have been identified in the case, and he would like to share those names with anti-doping enforcers in their various sports.
Special agent Jack Robertson of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration was the lead investigator in the recently executed Operation Raw Deal, a bust that recovered 11.4 million doses of steroids from 56 labs in the largest crackdown on illegal steroids in U.S. history.
Robertson reiterated the DEA targeted labs and suppliers, but he acknowledged suppliers compiled customer lists. The names on those lists could be revealed to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and others as the case progresses, Robertson said.
Olympics
Former president appointed Chef de Mission: The U.S. team will have the 41st president as perhaps its biggest cheerleader at the 2008 Beijing Games.
George H.W. Bush, 83, was appointed honorary Chef de Mission by Peter Ueberroth, U.S. Olympic Committee chairman, during a U.S. Olympic Assembly lunch in Houston.

Sturm keeps title: Germany's Felix Sturm retained his WBA middleweight title, fighting to a draw with American Randy Griffin in Halle, Germany.
Sailing
Rules dispute to go to court: Champion Alinghi of Switzerland has rejected a proposal from U.S. team BMW Oracle to resolve their differences over rules for the 2009 America's Cup and a court case will go ahead Monday, the BMW Oracle team said in a statement.
Horse racing
McDynamo rolls: McDynamo, a 10-year-old, won his fifth Breeders' Cup Grand National Steeplechase in a row, beating Sweet Shani by 6 lengths before 50,000 in Far Hills, N.J. The winner covered 2-5/8 miles, making 14 jumps, in 5 minutes, 30-3/5 seconds.
