Daytime NBC, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• America's Redeem Team, led by Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, debuts as Team USA takes on Yao Ming and Team China. President Bush and China President Hu Jintao will be there.
• The world's best female cyclists take their street tour of new and old Beijing in the women's road race, finishing at the Great Wall.
Prime time NBC, 7 p.m. to midnight (or 3-9 a.m. CBUT)
• Michael Phelps appears in two events today, the 200 freestyle and the 400 freestyle relay final. Katie Hoff will be competing in the 400 freestyle, and five-time Olympic medalist Natalie Coughlin will swim in her best event, the 100 backstroke. She'll be competing against Margaret Hoelzer, who trains in Federal Way and owns the world record in the 200 backstroke.
• Women's gymnastics leads off with the team competition. The U.S. is led by 2007 world all-around champion Shawn Johnson and nine-time world medalist Nastia Liukin. The top eight teams qualify for the final.
• The gold medal is China's Guo Jingjing and Wu Minxia's to lose in women's synchronized springboard.
Late night NBC
12:35 a.m. to 2 a.m.
• Live women's volleyball, with Team USA taking on Cuba.
• Megan Quann Jendrick starts out in the heats of the 100 breaststroke.
