Report reveals rare problems with vaccines

Posted by Letters editor

Deny one, deny all

Vaccine denial is alive and well regarding inoculating children against treatable diseases [“Report cites rare vaccine problems,” NWFriday, Aug. 26].

Yes, there’ll always be a few adversely affected, but the vast majority experience no effects and are far better off by not contracting the disease/s in question.

So shouldn’t those in denial ask if medicine itself is safe (exactly how much evidence is needed)? Shouldn’t they forgo all medical treatments to avoid every possible complication, i.e., let nature take its course?

These denialist parents not only threaten their children’s health, but society itself by spreading curable communicable diseases.
