Violence against Israelis sparks in Egypt

Posted by Letters editor

Our move

The people of Egypt have found another uniting cause [ “Anti-Israeli violence flares again in Egypt,”News, May 17].

First, they rallied for democracy and deposed their authoritarian and corrupt ruler, while the world cheered them on.

Then, they burned churches and attacked Christians, and the world stood by silently.

Now, Egyptians are protesting the 30-year-old agreement with Israel that has brought them peace and prosperity and saved countless lives.

Supporters of democracy, tolerance and peace are anxiously watching: How will we respond?
