Do extremists seek to sabotage Mideast peace talks?

New frontiers in moral equivalency: building equals murder
Edmund Sanders “report” on “extremists” trying to sabotage Mideast peace talks [“Extremists’ common purpose: sabotage Mideast peace talks,” News, Sept. 3] breaks new ground in the sordid enterprise called “moral equivalency.”
Up until now it has been the accepted premise of progressive journalists that Israeli building is as bad as, if not worse than, Arab destruction. But now Sanders tells us that Israeli construction of apartments on land that Arabs would like as part of their new state (this in addition to the one in Gaza) is the equivalent of raw murder by Arabs of Jewish “settlers.”
Of course Sanders takes it for granted that, although hundreds of thousands of Arabs continue to live as full citizens of Israel, every Palestinian state must be an apartheid and “Judenrein” one.
