OKLAHOMA CITY — The Thunder's first two shots from the field Tuesday: air balls. That's the way it's going.

Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City with 23 points, and Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox scored 13 apiece, but the Los Angeles Clippers were the better team, pulling off a 98-88 win Tuesday night. The Thunder (2-24) is now 1-12 under interim coach Scott Brooks, the same record they had when P.J. Carlesimo was fired.

"We need to be better consistently. Right now, anything that we're doing on the road or at home is not working," Wilcox said. "We've got to come together, keep our heads up and just keep lifting each other up."

Zach Randolph had 22 points and 13 rebounds for his fourth straight double-double.

Randolph, who was traded by the New York Knicks on Nov. 21, has cleared 21 points in all nine of his starts since joining Los Angeles.

"We just kind of plugged him into the plays we had for Elton Brand," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said. "They work just fine for him."

Notes

• Detroit Pistons guard Allen Iverson was fined $25,000 by the NBA for making inappropriate comments toward a fan in a win at Charlotte.

• Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace has left the team to attend funeral services for his father. Wallace missed Tuesday's game with Chicago, but was expected to return for Friday's game at Memphis.

• Boston's Paul Pierce plans to test his left knee at the Celtics' shoot-around before the game in Atlanta today. Pierce was helped off the court after scrambling for a defensive rebound with 31 seconds left in the Celtics' victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

• The nonprofit organization launched by Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is cutting its staff and some of its charitable work. The LeBron James Family Foundation is essentially being streamlined to make better use of money, James said. The foundation's Web site lists a staff of six.

• Cavaliers starting center Zydrunas Ilgauskas is out of a walking boot, but he's not quite ready to get back into the lineup. Ilgauskas will miss tonight's game at Minnesota with a sprained left ankle he injured last week in Philadelphia. Ilgauskas said he's hoping to return in the Cavs' game Friday.
