MINNEAPOLIS — If Randy Wittman's job wasn't in trouble before Saturday night, it most likely is now.
His Minnesota Timberwolves suffered their second straight blowout loss, this one a 107-84 thumping at the hands of the lowly Los Angeles Clippers on their home floor that brought a season full of misery to a new low.
Baron Davis had 27 points and nine assists, and Zach Randolph scored 21 for the Clippers to extend Minnesota's losing streak to five games and snap their own three-game skid.
"There's nothing you can worry about," said Wittman, who is 38-105 since taking over for Dwane Casey in January 2007. "When you get hired, you're bound to get fired. You don't worry about it."
Notes
• With its 105-99 loss to Miami, Oklahoma City fell to 2-19, matching the fifth-worst 21-game start in league history. That doesn't mean the Thunder was a pushover.
"Our guys fought and competed," coach Scott Brooks said. "We came up short. Not one guy in there is happy with moral victories. We have enough of those."
• Miami guard Chris Quinn was held out of Saturday's game with a sprained left ankle.
