Notebook | Team down to nine players as Durant, Wilcox sidelined

Turning point: Down 13 points in the third quarter, the Sonics chipped away until they trailed 89-86 with 2:50 left the game. Sixers guard Louis Williams then made five free throws and Iguodala hit a 17-footer with 26.9 seconds left to secure the victory.
Digits: The Sonics attempted only 11 free throws compared to Philadelphia's 36.

Sonics starters Kevin Durant and Chris Wilcox did not play Monday because of injuries.
Durant, the team's leading scorer (19.7 a game), missed his first professional game, sitting out because of a sprained index finger on his left, non-shooting hand. Durant's first two fingers were taped together, and he's wearing a padded glove.
He first hurt his finger in November against Atlanta. Saturday, with nine seconds left in the opening quarter of the victory against Minnesota, he hit an opponent's hipbone and the pain worsened. Two X-rays showed no breaks, however.
"I look like a kick boxer," Durant said of the glove. "It's very uncomfortable; hard to grip the ball and it's hard to catch the ball because my finger is obviously hurting. Hopefully by next practice I'll be all right. I've just got to get treatment, and I'll play by next game."
Wilcox was injured in the third quarter against Minnesota when Nick Collison fell on him while attempting to take a charge.
Wilcox sprained the MCL in his left knee, but an MRI showed no major damage. He's wearing a brace.
Both Durant and Wilcox are listed as day to day, but if Wilcox is unable to return by the game Sunday in Washington, the organization will discuss bringing Mouhamed Sene back from the Developmental League to fill out the squad, which currently has just nine active players.
"The good news is it's not structural," Sonics coach P.J. Carlesimo said of Wilcox. "But it's a lot of pain. One guy can't catch the ball, and the other guy can't run and jump."
Ridnour returning
Sonics guard Luke Ridnour said he's going to play during the Sonics' upcoming four-game road trip that begins Thursday in Phoenix. Ridnour has missed the past two games, and 14 overall this season, because of a strained left quad.
"It tightened up so much I just needed to let it calm down to make sure it didn't keep tearing," Ridnour said of why he pulled himself from the rotation. "It's feeling a lot, lot better. When I first came back I still felt it, it wasn't all the way healed."
Attention Seahawks
Forward Jeff Green, guard Delonte West and Durant are not friends of Seattle this week. All are from the Washington area and are diehard Redskins fans, the Seahawks' opening-round opponent in the playoffs.
"We're going to come in here and get the 'W,' " Durant said. "I'm from D.C. I'm going to rep it to the fullest and if you don't like it ... you know what I mean. If I was here [the Sonics play at Washington on Sunday], I'd be all in the red and yellow and y'all could take pictures and put me in the paper."
