FSN hired Steve "Snapper" Jones as lead analyst for Sonics telecasts, and analyst Marques Johnson will also return to reunite with former broadcast partner Kevin Calabro for 10 games.
Jones, who will call 60 of the network's 70 games, is the third analyst in the past three years following Lenny Wilkens and Craig Ehlo. Wilkens spent just one year with FSN before deciding in June not to return.
"Finding not only one, but two experts ... with as much experience and familiarity with basketball in the Northwest is remarkable," Mark Shuken, FSN Northwest general manager, said in a statement.
Jones, a Portland native and former Trail Blazers color commentator, has covered the NBA for more than 30 years with stints at ESPN, TNT, NBC and CBS.
Johnson, a Pac-10 basketball analyst for FSN, teamed with Calabro on Sonics broadcasts from 1994-98.
