Capsule preview: Sonics at Los Angeles Lakers
When:
7:30 tonight at Staples Center
TV/Radio: TNT/KJR (950 AM)
Records: Sonics 5-6, Lakers 4-6
Bottom line: : F Danny Fortson, who was unable to play in the second half of Tuesday night's game because of an arthritic right big toe, will be inactive for the next two to three games. Second-year center Robert Swift could make his season debut filling in for Fortson, although backup forward Reggie Evans or reserve center Vitaly Potapenko are more plausible options. ... Despite Kobe Bryant averaging 35.7 points in his three games against the Sonics last season, Seattle won the season series (3-1) for the first time since 2000-01.
Injuries: Seattle: F Danny Fortson (arthritic right big toe) is out. G Rick Brunson (plantar faciitis left foot) is doubtful. Lakers: C Chris Mihm (sore left ankle) is probable. F Kwame Brown (right hamstring), F Devean George (sore left foot), F Slava Medvedenko (herniated disk, lower back) and F Luke Walton (hamstring strain, hip flexor strain) are out.
