Will Conroy, Washington's career leader in assists with 515, has signed a contract with the NBA Los Angeles Lakers.

Conroy, 22, was a standout at Garfield High School in Seattle before playing four seasons with the Huskies.

He played for the Lakers' team in the Southern California Summer Pro League in Long Beach.

The 6-foot-2 guard had a school-record 219 assists last season for the 29-6 Huskies.

Conroy averaged 9.4 points as a senior, 12.3 as a junior and 12.7 as a sophomore. He shot 44.5 percent from the field in his college career.
