Radmanovic out 4 to 6 weeks

Seattle Times staff reporter

Sonics

Sonics forward Vladimir Radmanovic will miss the next four to six weeks due to a stress fracture in his right fibula. The injury, which does not require surgery, was detected yesterday after he underwent an X-Ray exam.

Radmanovic is the Sonics' third-leading scorer, averaging 11.8 points and 4.6 rebounds. The Sonics face the Orlando Magic tonight at KeyArena. He had been a candidate for the sixth man of the year award and was one of six participants in the three-point contest last month at the All-Star Game.

The Sonics, who have a 43-20 record, have not had to deal with any major injuries this season. Radmanovic will be placed on the injured list and Seattle will activate Damien Wilkins, a 6-foot-6 guard/forward who has been on the injured list since Dec. 11 with patella tendinitis in his right knee.

Wilkins has appeared in 11 games this season, averaging 1.3 points in 4.6 minutes.
