Three of the four people believed to be responsible for a shooting at a SeaTac intersection during rush hour on Tuesday are now in custody, leaving one suspect still being sought.

The 20-year-old driver of the getaway car was arrested that day the shooting after he was dropped off at Riverton Hospital shortly after the incident. He had a serious gunshot wound to his groin area, inflicted, according to the King County Sheriff's Office, when one of his cohorts accidentally fired off a pistol he was holding.

Sheriff's detectives arrested the second suspect this morning in Burien. The third suspect was detained in Idaho just before noon today by local authorities. Sgt. John Urquhart, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office, said detectives were currently en route to interview him. Both suspects are 21, Urquhart said.

On Tuesday, about 4 p.m., a 2000 Cadillac was ambushed as it was stopped at a red light at South 188th Street and International Boulevard. Numerous rounds were fired into the car from an AK-47-type rifle as the gunman stood near the sidewalk, police said.

The driver of the Cadillac was critically injured and the front-seat passenger sustained serious injuries from several gunshot wounds. Both remain at Harborview Medical Center.

Police said three people were seen on security video getting into a Ford Taurus driven by a fourth man immediately after the shooting.

Urquhart said charges against those arrested are expected next week.
