NTSB: Crash victims' remains are being removed

A federal official says victims' remains are being removed from the wreckage of a commuter plane that crashed near Buffalo.

CLARENCE, N.Y. —

A federal official says victims' remains are being removed from the wreckage of a commuter plane that crashed near Buffalo.

National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Keith Holloway says investigators are documenting the location of each victim and removing the remains.

The accident killed 50 people.

Continental Connection Flight 3407 from Newark, N.J., was coming in for a landing when it went down in light snow and fog late Thursday, a few miles short of Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. It crashed into a house.
