The State Patrol has released a photo of a Cashmere man believed to have impersonated a police officer and even stopped vehicles in King and Pierce counties.

Patrol detectives want to talk with anybody who may have had contact with the man, identified as Andy Paul Hicks, 28, when he was impersonating a police officer. Detectives also want to talk to witnesses who may have seen Hicks stopping or identifying himself as a police officer in other situations.

Hicks was arrested on Sept. 30, and is being held in King County Jail on an impersonation charge and outstanding warrants. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Detective Sgt. Stacey Moate at 425-649-4370, Ext. 146, or Detective Ruth Medeiros at 425-649-4370, Ext. 119.
