Idaho campaign button features the wrong Larry

Some Democratic campaign buttons made for distribution in Idaho show an unlikely pair: Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican Sen. Larry Craig. But don't expect the staunch Republican to throw his support behind Obama or for the presidential candidate to ask Craig to change his mind and run for Senate again. Apparently the button manufacturer picked a picture of the wrong Idaho Larry. The 3-inch button by Tigereye Design was intended to show Obama beside Larry LaRocco, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate. Craig is not seeking re-election after his arrest in a Minnesota airport restroom sex sting.

LaBeouf arrested

Actor Shia LaBeouf, who starred as a motorcycle-riding greaser in the latest Indiana Jones adventure film, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Sunday after a morning wreck, authorities said. LaBeouf was trying to make a left turn at a West Hollywood intersection around 3 a.m. when his pickup collided with another vehicle, rolling the truck over. The 22-year-old actor was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was being treated for injuries to his left hand and a knee, as well as a minor head injury. A woman passenger in LaBeouf's truck and the driver of the other vehicle were not seriously injured.

Batman still hot

Batman fever continued over the weekend, with ticket sales for "The Dark Knight" far outpacing the competition and breaking a fresh batch of box-office records. "The Dark Knight" sold an estimated $75.6 million in tickets at North American theaters from Friday to Sunday, and $314.2 million in tickets domestically in its first 10 days of release, a record.

Russells worth millions

Two iconic pieces by turn-of-the-century artist Charles M. Russell — a painting depicting a stagecoach holdup and a bronze sculpture of two Native Americans on a buffalo hunt — have sold at an auction for more than $9 million. Russell died in 1926 at the age of 62.
