KERBALA, Iraq — A member of Iraq's parliament, three of his bodyguards and his son were killed by a suicide-car-bomb attack in the northern outskirts of Baghdad today, police said.

Dhari Ali al-Fayadh was the second member of Iraq's newly elected parliament to be assassinated.

In a separate attack today, a suicide bomber dressed in a police uniform blew himself up in a hospital in Musayyib, 40 miles south of Baghdad, killing three people and wounding 13, police said.
