BAGHDAD, Iraq — A U.S. Marine was killed in action Saturday in Anbar province, which includes Ramadi and Fallujah, the military said yesterday. No other information was released.

The death raised to 832 the number of U.S. service members who have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq in March 2003, according to the Defense Department.

Of those, 613 died as a result of hostile action.
