Two U.S. Marines were killed yesterday in action in Anbar province west of Baghdad, the military said.

Citing security concerns, the military released no other details, but the Marines were assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, which is involved in action around the restive Sunni city of Fallujah, which is in Anbar province.

As of yesterday, 783 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq 14 months ago, according to the Department of Defense. Of those, 571 died as a result of hostile action.
