EMP hosts Sound Off! battle of the bands

Northwest musicians take the stage Saturday, Feb. 11, for the first round of Experience Music Project's annual Sound Off! event, a battle of the bands for artists 21 and under. Bands competing this weekend are The Autonomics (Portland), The Deep Wake (Bainbridge Island), Dungeon Science (Tacoma), and The Unibroz (Seattle). Semifinals continue through February. The finals take place March 3.

Musicians from throughout the Northwest take the stage Saturday for the first round of Experience Music Project's annual Sound Off! event, a battle of the bands for artists 21 and under. Now in its 11th edition, Sound Off! in previous years has spotted such talents as Schoolyard Heroes and Great Waves. Semifinals continue on Saturday nights through February. The finals take place March 3.

The winning band will receive playing time at Bumbershoot, radio appearances and studio equipment.
