Determined outdoor celebration is the best way to ward off lame weather; ignore the clouds and they'll go away (figuratively, at least). This weekend, the promoters of Trust, a monthly DJ dance party at Chop Suey, are doing their part by throwing their first outdoor garden party at the downtown Red Lion Hotel, complete with DJs, barbecue and full bar. In case the clouds don't cooperate, patio heaters are standing by.
Best of all, it's free.
What to expect musically: Dance music of all types and vintages. The fun will feature an all-star lineup of some of Seattle's baddest DJs, including Mr. Supreme, Kyle "Kid Hops" Hopkins, DJ Riz, Introcut and Sun Tzu Sound.
Red Lion: 1415 Fifth Ave., Seattle; the barbecue and bar will set you back, but eight hours of music, dancing, and wishful summering cost nothing. (www.trustseattle.com)
