Tribute to Seattle music
The annual Seattle City Music awards, which celebrate Seattle's music culture, this year will honor Quincy Jones, Fleet Foxes and KEXP.
The annual Seattle City Music awards, which celebrate Seattle's music culture, this year will honor Quincy Jones, Fleet Foxes and KEXP. Tickets for the Wednesday evening event are free.
Performances will include the Maldives, Pearly Gate Music, Seattle Jazz Repertory Orchestra's big-band tribute to Jones, youth entertainers and an aftershow performance by the Tea Cozies.
The awards show will be at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Showbox at the Market, 1426 First Ave., Seattle. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and ticket holders are advised to arrive early because the venue has limited capacity.
