Pearl Jam is kicking off its fall tour tour in their hometown, coming to Seattle's KeyArena on Sept. 21 and 22.
The beloved grunge band will be promoting their ninth studio album, "Backspacer," to be released Sept. 20 through Target, Pearl Jam's Ten Club and independent retailers.
The first single off the album, "The Fixer" is set for release on radio July 20. Pearl Jam filmed a commercial for the song for Target this spring at Showbox at the Market in Seattle, under the direction of "Almost Famous" director Cameron Crowe. The footage will also be used to support singer Eddie Vedder's solo work, as well as contribute to a project on the band's 20th anniversary.
Ben Harper and Relentless7 will open the Seattle shows. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 18, at www.ticketmaster.com, but members of Pearl Jam's Ten Club can buy tickets early, starting Monday, July 13.
