The Black Eyed Peas, with pop singer Fergie back with the band that made her famous, joined the 2009 Bumbershoot lineup today.

The group is touring this summer with a new hit single, "Boom Boom Pow," and its first album in four years, "The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies)," which comes out Tuesday.

Other acts announced Friday for Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music and Arts festival include Canadian indie-rockers Metric and the remix duo Soulsavers, featuring singer-songwriter Mark Lanegan.

The new acts join a something-for-everyone national lineup that already included Modest Mouse, Sheryl Crow, Katy Perry, Franz Ferdinand, Jason Mraz, Raphael Saadiq, All-American Rejects, U.S.E. and Brett Dennen. Local or regional acts already announced include Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, Dyme Def, Truckasauras, Sleepy Eyes of Death, Past Lives, We Are Golden and Recess Monkey.

Dozens of other national and regional and local acts will be performing at Bumbershoot 2009, Sept. 5-7 at Seattle Center. See the complete list at www.bumbershoot.org.

Single-day specific tickets are on sale now for $25 during presenter One Reel's Insider Deal — open to BumberFans only and while supplies last. Find details at www.bumbershoot.org.

Bumbershoot details will continue to be announced this spring and summer; $80 three-day passes are on sale now through Aug. 21 (they cost $120 thereafter). Single-day tickets go on sale to the public on July 21 through Ticketmaster. For details, call 206-281-7788 or go to www.bumbershoot.org.
