Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music and Arts Festival added one big international name to the 2009 lineup — Franz Ferdinand — at the same time that presenter One Reel announced the cancellation of another — the Ting Tings.

According to a release, the Ting Tings — a rising British rock duo that had a sold-out Seattle show at the Crocodile a few weeks ago — canceled due to a schedule conflict.

Along with Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand, lineup additions announced today include comic Eugene Mirman, the Brazilian band Os Mutantes, and singers Keller Williams and Janelle Monae.

They join a partial lineup that includes the already-announced Modest Mouse, Sheryl Crow, Katy Perry, All-American Rejects, U.S.E., Brett Dennen, and dozens of other national and regional acts, performing at Bumbershoot 2009, Sept. 5-7 at Seattle Center. See the complete list at www.bumbershoot.org.

Bumbershoot details will continue to be announced this spring and summer; $80 three-day passes are on sale now through Aug. 21 (they cost $120 thereafter). Single-day tickets go on sale July 21. For details, call 206-281-7788 or go to www.bumbershoot.org.
