Got your green on? St. Patrick's Day celebrations
St. Patrick's Day events in the Seattle area include daylong events at Seattle Center and Snoqualmie Casino, plus Irish-themed music at area clubs, including the Showbox at the Market, Funhouse and the Tractor.
St. Patrick's Day is upon us, and in the name of all things green, Irish and beer-soaked, here's your go-and-do-it list of Seattle-area St. Paddy's Day fun.
Events
St. Patrick's Day Bash: A live radio broadcast, pancake feed, Irish-themed contests, live music and more, starting at 6 a.m. and continuing all day long at Snoqualmie Casino, 37500 S.E. North Bend Way, Snoqualmie; free (www.snocasino.com).
Irish Festival: Seattle Center's Irish Festival got started last week, but the Irish entertainment is back today from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., courtesy of the Irish Heritage Club of Seattle; free (206-684-7200, 206-242-5140 or www.irishclub.org).
Northwest Beer and Food Pairing Social: Tom Douglas Restaurants presents a feast of locally brewed beers paired with snacks prepared by Chef Warren Peterson, including pulled pork, espresso pudding and beef mole. And the local brewers? Scuttlebutt, Boundary Bay, Hale's, Georgetown, Issaquah, Maritime, Pike and Big Al's.
