SATURDAY: This Stage

Noon: Obits — Rick Froberg's new band, he of early-'90s progressive-punk act Drive Like Jehu.

1 p.m.: Constantines — Hard, rhythmic Canadian rock band: noisy art with Springsteen heart.

2 p.m.: Eric's Trip — Lo-fi pop; Sub Pop's first Canadian signee.

4:40 p.m.: Fleet Foxes — See Fleet Foxes on Page 4.

6 p.m.: Low — Pointedly minimalist, glacially paced rock.

7:20 p.m.: Vaselines — Scottish band's happy-sounding sad pop foreshadowed Belle and Sebastian, was oft-covered by Nirvana.

8:20 p.m.: Iron and Wine — Nick Drake + Neil Young + huge beard = Sam Beam = Iron and Wine.

9:20 p.m.: Flight of the Conchords — Kiwi HBO duo does absurd, low-key song-comedy.

SATURDAY: That Stage

2:40 p.m.: Seaweed — Early grunge band from Tacoma.

4 p.m.: Pissed Jeans — Sounds like getting slapped in the face with a noise-art gauntlet.

5:20 p.m.: The Fluid — Grunge, but artier; Nirvana-era band reuniting for SP20.

6:40 p.m.: Mudhoney — The final word on grunge.

SUNDAY: This Stage

Noon: The Ruby Suns — Recently signed New Zealand indie-pop act already has stickers on area mopeds.

1 p.m.: Grand Archives — Mellow pop rock; sounds like sunshine and chirping birds.

3:20 p.m.: Foals — British band sounds like Bloc Party, except coiled tighter.

4:40 p.m.: No Age — Experimental L.A. two-piece uses electric-guitar distortion like watercolor paints.

6 p.m.: Comets on Fire — Heavy, psychedelic rock.

7:20 p.m.: Green River — Mudhoney before there was Mudhoney.

8:20 p.m.: Wolf Parade — See Wolf Parade on Page 4.

SUNDAY: That Stage

2:40 p.m.: Kinski — Precise instrumental rock specializing in unfriendly sounding grooves.

4 p.m.: Les Thugs — French punk from the early '80s.

5:20 p.m.: Red Red Meat — Chicago alt-rock from the '90s.

6:40 p.m.: Beachwood Sparks — Inactive for a few years; sounds like California driftwood crossed with marijuana.
