South Lake Union Cinema on the Lawn
Every other Friday from July 11 to Aug. 8, on the lawn outside the South Lake Union Discovery Center, at the northwest corner of Denny Way and Westlake Avenue. Beer garden opens at 7 p.m., live music, food, photo booth and movie trivia with prizes. Films begin 30 minutes prior to dusk between 9:30 and 10 p.m.; admission is free (206-343-1543 or www.cinemaonthelawn.com).
