New B.C. music fest gets Coldplay, Jay-Z, more
Coldplay, Tom Petty, Death Cab for Cutie, Jay-Z, Interpol, the Tragically Hip and My Morning Jacket are among the artists confirmed for the new Pemberton Music Festival, July 25-27 near Vancouver, B.C.
Coldplay, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Death Cab for Cutie will play at a new three-day music festival in July in Pemberton, B.C., about 45 minutes from Whistler Resort.
On Monday, co-presenters Live Nation and Good Boy Productions announced the new festival, set for July 25-27 and also including Jay-Z, Nine Inch Nails, Vampire Weekend, the Tragically Hip, SIA, My Morning Jacket, Interpol and dozens of other acts already confirmed.
Concertgoers will be able to camp at the 360-acre festival site in Pemberton, a small mountain village about a two-hour drive north of Vancouver, head to Whistler's luxury hotels, or find motels and RV sites. The fest will include two stages and a dance tent amid the striking mountain views.
Pemberton Music Festival tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 28; ticket packages weren't announced, though the Web site lists a launch price for a standard three-day package at $239.50 (Canadian).
