New DVDs | 'The Big Year,' 'Drive,' 'In Time,' 'The Thing'
New DVD releases for Tuesday, Jan. 31, include "The Big Year," with Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson; Ryan Gosling in "Drive"; "In Time," starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried; and the latest incarnation of "The Thing," with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton.

"The Big Year" (PG): Seattle Times movie critic Moira Macdonald says it's "that rarity: a genuinely sweet film, about nice people happily engaged in the pursuit of something they love" — in this case, spotting rare birds. Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson star.
"Drive" (R): A Hollywood stunt man and hired getaway driver (Ryan Gosling) gets involved with a young mother (Carey Mulligan) caught up in a dangerous world of her own.
"In Time" (PG-13): Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried race against time in this futuristic tale, in which aging stops at 25, and those who wish to live longer must earn, steal or inherit time.
"The Thing" (R): The latest incarnation of the creature feature, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton.
"The Double" (PG-13): A retired CIA operative (Richard Gere) joins forces with an FBI agent (Topher Grace) to track down a Soviet assassin.
"Dream House" (PG-13): A semi-supernatural thriller, with Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts.
"The Other F Word" (not rated): Aging punk rockers dish on fatherhood. No star rating provided.
"Outrage" (R): Takeshi Kitano's yakuza story. No star rating provided.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" (50th anniversary edition)
