Now you can catch "The Girl Who Played With Fire" — part two of the Swedish series based on Stieg Larsson's novels — before the third and final film, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest," opens in theaters Friday. Or, just kick back with the girls of "Sex and the City 2."
Star ratings are by Seattle Times movie reviewers, freelancers or wire services (for full reviews, search the movie title at seattletimes.com).
"Wild Grass" (PG): A retiree (André Dussollier) and a dentist (Sabine Azéma) obsess about one another in this farce directed by French New Wave filmmaker Alain Resnais.
"Winter's Bone" (R): Debra Granik's prizewinning adaptation of Daniel Woodrell's novel is dominated by Jennifer Lawrence as a 17-year-old heroine who comes of age as she searches for her meth-cooking father.
"The Girl Who Played With Fire" (R): Noomi Rapace returns as Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker and investigations specialist who finds herself the prime suspect in a series of murders, in the sequel to "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."
"South of the Border" (not rated): Oliver Stone's documentary about an evolving Latin America and his meeting with Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez and other leaders in 2008.
"Sex and the City 2" (R): The sequel follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they pop off to Abu Dhabi for some fun in the sun.
