New DVDs | 'Year One,' 'Imagine That,' 'My Life in Ruins,' 'Anvil!'

Tuesday's new DVD releases include "Year One," "Imagine That," "My Life in Ruins" and "Anvil! The Story of Anvil."

Cavemen ("Year One"), rockers ("Anvil!") and imaginary friends ("Imagine That") come to DVD today. Star ratings are by Seattle Times movie reviewers, freelancers or wire services (for full reviews, search the movie title at seattletimes.com).

3 stars "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" (not rated): Sasha Gervasi's documentary catches up with members of the once-hot '80s Canadian heavy-metal band Anvil.

3 stars "Imagine That" (PG): Eddie Murphy stars as a father who gets financial advice from his daughter's imaginary friends.

2 stars "Year One" (PG-13): This Neanderthal effort from Harold Ramis features Jack Black and Michael Cera as a pair of hapless hunter-gatherers seeking a better life.

1.5 stars "My Life in Ruins" (PG-13): Nia Vardalos plays a travel guide who finds romance while leading a bus tour in Greece.

"Audition" (R): The 10th-anniversary edition of Takeshi Miike's cult horror flick.
