DVDs released this week
A weekly listing of new DVDs.
Here are some of Tuesday's DVD releases. Star ratings are by Seattle Times movie reviewers, freelancers or wire services (for full reviews, go to www.seattletimes.com/movies).
"Snow Angels" (R): Michael Angarano, Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale star in this intelligent adaptation of Stewart O'Nan's 1994 novel about small-town limits and desires.
"Young@Heart" (PG): Stephen Walker's delightful documentary profiles a group of singers (average age: 80) who perform classic rock and R&B songs.
"Made of Honor" (PG-13): Patrick Dempsey plays a "maid" of honor in love with the bride-to-be (Michelle Monaghan).
"Speed Racer" (PG): A big-screen update of the TV cartoon show with Emile Hirsch as a driving prodigy who tries to salvage the family business, save the world and avenge his brother.
"88 Minutes" (R): Jon Avnet's thriller stars Al Pacino as a forensic psychologist who teaches at the "University of Northwest Washington" and has 88 minutes to track down his stalker or die.
"The Love Guru" (PG-13): This Mike Myers comedy includes a constant barrage of below-the-belt humor that pretty much substitutes for a plot.
