"Under the Same Moon," "Fool's Gold" released on DVD
A weekly listing of new DVDs.
Here are some of today's DVD releases. Star ratings are by Seattle Times movie reviewers, freelancers or wire services (for full reviews, go to www.seattletimes.com/movies).
"Under the Same Moon" (PG-13): a tender melodrama, directed by Patricia Riggen, that follows a 9-year-old boy (Adrian Alonso) as he illegally enters the U.S. to find his mother (Kate del Castillo).
"Be Kind Rewind" (PG-13): an offbeat comedy starring Jack Black and Mos Def as childhood pals who decide to re-create all the movies that got erased at a video store. Directed by Michel Gondry.
"Fool's Gold" (PG-13): a hunt-for-lost-treasure romantic comedy with Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. Directed by Andy Tennant.
"Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" (PG-13): a Martin Lawrence vehicle, directed by Malcolm D. Lee, about a TV-show host who leaves his perfect life in L.A. to attend a family reunion.
