Bing marketing GM moving over to YouTube

Danielle Tiedt, a general manager for Microsoft's Online Services division, is leaving and becoming a vice president of marketing for YouTube, focusing on consumer marketing, according to AdAge.

At Microsoft, Tiedt was general manager of Bing and MSN WW Marketing, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Microsoft issued a statement saying: "We can confirm that Microsoft made the decision to part ways with Danielle Tiedt, effective immediately. We don't comment on internal personnel issues, but we can say that the decision to part ways was not related to her interest in joining YouTube."

Google said in a statement to AdAge: "We are excited to have someone of the caliber of Danielle Tiedt on board as our VP of marketing. She will play a pivotal role as we move forward into our next phase of growth."
