Cool vid: Microsoft's vision of tech in our future everyday lives
Posted by Janet I. Tu
Glasses that translate and refrigerators that display information about the contents inside are part of Microsoft's new concept video showing its vision of how technology intersects with our everyday lives in the future.
The company periodically produces these videos "to help tell the story we see unfolding in technology, and how it will impact our lives in the future," Office Division President Kurt DelBene says in an official Microsoft blog post on the video.
He goes on to say:
"All of the ideas in the video are based on real technology. Some of the capabilities, such as speech recognition, real time collaboration and data visualization already exist today. Others are not yet available in specific products, but represent active research and development happening at Microsoft and other companies."
