Double Rainbows guy now hawking Windows Live
Posted by Sharon Pian Chan
The YouTube sensation Double Rainbow guy is now hawking Windows Live.
This is the first I heard of the Double Rainbow video, which has been seen close to 13 million times on YouTube. In the video, Paul "Bear" Vasquez has an ecstatic reaction to a double rainbow at Yosemite National Park. According to a later interview he did on the Jimmy Kimmel show, he was not on drugs in this video.
Besides, I bet many Seattleites can relate to his sublime love of nature. Perseid meteor shower, orca sightings, Mount Rainier on a clear day, anyone? Here is the original video Double Rainbows video.
Microsoft recruited Vasquez to do a promo for Windows Live photo editing software, specifically using the photo stitching feature to create a panorama shot of rainbows. The software is currently available for free in a beta test version for download for Windows 7 users. Here is the video of the Windows Live ad.
