Microsoft Kin phone selling for 1 penny on Amazon.com

Posted by

The zombie Kin is now selling for a penny on Amazon.com if you sign up for a new service plan.

Microsoft canceled the Kin mobile phone a little more than a month after Verizon Wireless began selling the phone.

The two models, the Kin One and the Kin Two, were originally priced $49.99 and $99.99 with a new service plan and a $100 rebate.

Microsoft had billed it as a phone for the young and socially networked, building the phone's software to quickly share updates and photos with sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Verizon Wireless will continue to offer phone service on it.

Thank you to Seattle Times online commenter The Joker for bringing this to our attention.
