Reporting, tweeting from the Goldman Sachs tech conference

Posted by Sharon Chan

SAN FRANCISCO. -- I am at the Goldman Sachs Technology and internet Conference in Union Square at the Westin St. Francis and I will be filing dispatches for you from here over the next three days. I am also tweeting about the event at www.twitter.com/sharonpianchan/. Press are not allowed to capture photos or video but some companies are Webcasting their sessions.

This is a cool opportunity to get a snapshot of the entire technology landscape over three days. Local companies presenting include Microsoft, RealNetworks, InfoSpace and F5. Lots of other players are here, such as Yahoo, Apple, Google, Intel, VMware, Salesforce.com, Dell. F5 declined to make its session open to the press.

Bob Muglia, president of Microsoft's Server and Tools division, will be speaking at 9 a.m. Monday.

Update 12:55 p.m.:
I asked the F5 why they had closed the session was closed and the company has now opened its session to the press.
