Posted by Sharon Pian Chan
Microsoft employees have donated more than $740,000 to organizations working on Haiti earthquake relief. The company matched that amount, bringing the total close to $1.5 million.
Employees have given to 195 organizations working on earthquake relief.
"We've seen a tremendous amount of support and ingenuity from our employees," the company said in a statement on Monday.
Microsoft matches each employee's charitable giving by up to $12,000 a year.
Here is our earlier story on Microsoft's giving to Haiti, and here is an earlier look at what many other local companies are doing.
