Microsoft CFO Chris Liddell gets $1.9 million after resigning

Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Chris Liddell will get $1.9 million after he leaves Microsoft, according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Liddell, who is leaving at the end of the year, will receive $950,000 on Dec. 31 and another $950,000 on March 31 as compensation for his services during the first half of fiscal year 2010, which goes from July 1 through Dec. 31 of this year.
The compensation is tied to a confidentiality agreement and a mutual release of claims between Liddell and the company.
