Microsoft and Winchester have an app for that.

Microsoft today highlighted ammo maker Winchester as a customer for Silverlight, Microsoft's Web application software.

Winchester made a Ballistics Calculator where shooting and hunting enthusiasts can compare shooting different ammunition in different conditions, available for free on its Web site at http://www.winchester.com/ballistics/. Winchester was particularly proud that the app can test five different rounds at once.

“The Winchester ballistics calculator is a great example of the rich and interactive applications that Silverlight delivers,” said Steve Sklepowich, director for Silverlight in a company statement. “Silverlight enables companies like Winchester to meet customer demand by providing a unique cross-platform, cross-browser online experience in a detailed and efficient environment.”
