Each March at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival/conference in Austin, Tex., there's a day-long Seattle showcase called SXSeattle. This year's is the strongest yet, with top level rock (My Goodness, Craft Spells), hip-hop (Don't Talk to the Cops!) and a double shot from our current blue-eyed soul movement (Pickwick, Allen Stone). There's a kickoff party mid-February that costs money to attend, but the showcase itself is free. Go to facebook.com/sxseattle to RSVP.
