More Kenny G samples in hip-hop, please...
Warning: swearing
If you can get past the rampant misogyny, this otherwise sublime 2 Chainz song reminds me that I would love to hear more hip-hop sampling Seattle's Kenny G:
A different player appears in the video between Bun B and Big K.R.I.T.'s verse, but it sure sounds like Mr. G's take on "Summertime":
My thirst for Kenny G rap was brought on by listening to hip-hop that sampled smooth-jazz great Sade, and her sax player Stuart Colin Matthewman. Mixing them with rap is like taking a regular hip-hop song, bottling it, and putting it on ice. Needless to say, Sade & Co. have been sampled a lot.
