Beacon Hill's Helladope to open for Goodie Mob and Snoop, release self-titled debut album
Posted by Andrew Matson
Beacon Hill future-soul rap&B group Helladope will play the three biggest concerts of its life and release its debut self-titled album in the next few weeks.
First up are opening slots for Atlanta's Goodie Mob Feb. 24 at Neumos (the group that invented "the Dirty South") and Snoop March 5 at Showbox SoDo (the man who invented marijuana). Right after those, "Helladope" gets an album release party March 12 at Nectar in Fremont.
Featuring multiple two-step Seattle anthems ("Just So You Know," "Rainwater," "Shine On"), "Helladope" is a minor masterpiece of a local album, and I will break it down in depth soon.
Really feeling the pastels on these fliers, BTW.
