Trailer for local director Lynn Shelton's MTV drama centered around Seattle music, "$5 Cover"

Can't embed right now, but go here to watch the trailer for Lynn Shelton's MTV drama that blends acting and reality and prominently features lots of local bands. Part of the trailer happens over a live performance of the Moondoggies' "Don't Be a Stranger" (sounds like a heartbreaking rendition, looks like it's in Ballard, possibly at the Tractor) and Champagne Champagne's "Magnetic Blackness" (feat. THEESatisfaction), an anthem that just sounds so subversive on MTV.

I like that Shelton seems to have emphasized throwback Americana rock and spaced out hiphop. That was the spectrum happening on Seattle stages when the show was filmed last summer/fall, and still is.
