The War Room goes out with a bang: Joker Tuesday, Mike McGinn and Pete Holmes Sunday

"Play Doe" by Joker and Rustie

These days, Bristol producer/DJ Joker's music is in my car's CD player often. His instrumental jams are like West Coast American hiphop on steroids, full of metallic echoes, bent synths, and general robot funk. All Joker's songs feature extreme bass. He's calling his sound "purple." Other people call it dubstep. The War Room hosts Joker tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Speaking of The War Room, it's for sale, a fact I've written about. November is the final month of the club's life. The flyer below explains what kind of send-off is planned.
